I did not believe I will live the day when a top Kenyan official will publicly admit what has been the story of failed leadership for, well, the last fifty years. Finance ministry accountants recently told a parliamentary committee that the country might be losing up to 4 billion Us dollars every year due to wide-spread corruption. Though this might not be news at all to ordinary Kenyans, it is quite remarkable that state officials had the courage to actually admit the obvious.
